VANISHING LINES

On the beaches of the North, the sea writes and erases.

At Skagsanden, and along other Norwegian coasts, the water leaves delicate patterns on the sand, light branchings that emerge between one wave and the next. These are lines born from movement, destined to dissolve within a few moments.

What makes them precious is their precariousness. Each configuration is unrepeatable, suspended between appearance and disappearance, as fragile as a balance that cannot be held.

Sometimes the frost slows down the process and momentarily preserves these delicate geometries. But their nature remains ephemeral: they exist only in transition.

Vanishing Lines collects these transient forms, where the landscape manifests itself through subtraction. A mark that is born to vanish.
